Education and its impacts in students learning Essay Example for Free
Education and its impacts in students learning Essay The paper is about education and how its impacts enhance students learning. Universal access to education is one of the millennium goals of development. The main observations have been made together with the impacts. There is a brief introduction to what education really is. In addition, the essay further concludes by giving recommendations to what should be done to ensure every person has access to learning facilities both in the developing and undeveloped countries. Introduction Education can be termed as wealth of awareness. It can be picked up by a person and passed from one generation to the next after studying a certain subject or undergoing life lessons. It can be said to be a form of learning. Unfortunately, universal access to education has not been completely attained. A great education begins at home hence the kind of a background a child comes from will have an impact on their education. Observations made on education It has been observed that poverty particularly in developing countries is a major cause for education inequality. Secondly, the importance of education in modern world cannot be taken for granted. For instance, some sectors such as the military previously did not put emphasis on education requirements but currently they have raised minimum education requirements. It has also been observed that most countries are adopting modern technology in their learning institutions. There has been an increase in use of electronic devices such as laptops and I pads. More so, learning has been made easier since one can be educated from home through the e-learning. The observations made can be compared to the education indicators as listed by Aud et. al (2013). Impacts on students learning The Social economic status is based on the parentââ¬â¢s level of learning, their profession, earnings and their position in their social order. Parents with a high social economic status are likely to lay a good background for their children education than those of low status. They can afford to buy their children most of education materials they require such as pens, books and toys for young kids to enhance their early schooling. They are also capable of ensuring that their offspring have access to quality health care. In addition, these parents can access information about the well performing schools and they can also afford to pay the fees. On the other hand, parents with low social economic status usually do not have high levels of education hence their children will not be well prepared at home to start schooling unlike those with high social economic status. Gender in most African countries is still an issue to be looked upon. Boys are always preferred when it comes to access to education especially when resources to take children to school are limited. For instance, even if a girl had a better score than a boy, parents in most of African countries will prefer to take the boy for higher learning. Studies have shown that most of the poorest women in most countries have not even completed their primary school. Poverty is another impact on education. Children from poor households are less likely to perform well in class. These children usually have less participation in class, their level of terminology is low hence unlikely to perform well. Their parents cannot afford good nutrition for their kids and as a result, kids may have nutritional related illnesses and their education is disrupted. Parenting is the process of upbringing children. A childââ¬â¢s parent is commonly their first educator. Parents have roles of ensuring that their children are prepared for school, for example by ensuring that they have sufficient food and good health, this is necessary for a child concentration in class which results to good performance. It is at home that parents mostly emphasis on virtues such as hard work, integrity and commitment. The Society also has an impact on education. Community customs and practices have a great impact on education, which can either be helpful or damaging. For example, communities with traditions that encourage early marriages for girls prevent them from accessing their fundamental right to education. Technology, which is being embraced quite well in most countries, has a great impact on studentsââ¬â¢ performance. This is majorly for students in higher learning institutions. Students with access internet are able to complete their assignments in time. Most of higher learning institutions have embraced modern technology and they are offering some courses or units online, this is convenient for those students with access to internet because they can take classes at their free time and can also learn at their own pace. Conclusion Social economic status and poverty have the greatest impact on children access to education. Other factors with impact on education are access to technology, parenting, and race among others. These factors may have positive or negative impacts on children access to education. Undesirable effects such as inequality in education can be dealt with by making primary school education free and compulsory. If possible, education at each stage should be made free or affordable to everyone, promoting women education, discouraging child labor and school dropouts. Embracing modern technology improves education quality worldwide. Recruiting Changes in College Football :: Essays Papers
Recruiting Changes in College Football With the recent controversy and scandal surrounding the University of Colorado and the college football world, this off season has been one of the busiest ever. College Football has experienced an eye-opening revelation and these experiences call for major changes in the traditional recruiting practices. Last month, stories surfaced about the University of Colorado using sex, alcohol, and parties to lure blue chip recruits to their program. While these types of actions are prevalent at every major football program, this is the first time that they have been officially exposed. This exposure has started a chain-reaction of changes to the recruiting part of college football and has grabbed the attention of the United States Congress. The involvement of the most powerful government in the world shows the seriousness of the present situation and also that these inappropriate recruiting practices are not going to be ignored any longer. The face of college football will change dramatically and the results of this scandal will have a lasting impact for decades to come. For any person who follows college football and has a favorite team, this is an important issue because the traditional way that many of us have come to love, is about to disappear. It is amazing how an isolated incident, such as the one at Colorado, can incite such a large frenzy and call for change. The scandal started with a former recruit telling his experiences during his college visit in Boulder at the University of Colorado. His stories included wild parties with unlimited amounts of alcohol and the open availability to sex with the women of his choosing. The term used for these parties was "sex parties" and recruits were told that the women would perform any sexual act he desired. After the recruit made his experiences public, other stories began to surface from other recruits who had similar experiences at Colorado and other schools. The situation came to a boil when a former female player accused some of her team mates of sexual assault at one of these parties. Other students came forward with similar allegations of football players forcing sex from females at their parties. What started as small story ballooned into a very situation and it became very obvious that the recruiting game was out of control and in need of major change. After the stories surfaced out of Boulder, Colorado more stories began to surface around the country and even Brigham Young University kicked off four players for sexual misconduct.

Translation of Phraseological Units with Animal Names
INTRODUCTION Phraseology is a study of set or fixed expressions, such as idioms, phrasal verbs, and other types of multi-word lexical units, in which the component parts of the expression take on a meaning more specific than or otherwise not predictable from the sum of their meanings when used independently. The classification of phraseological units can be different. According to Vinogradov, there are phraseological combinations, unities and fussions. The Kooninââ¬â¢s classification is the latest outstanding achievement in the Russian theory of phraseology. The classification is based on the combined structural ââ¬â semantic principle and it also considers the quotient of stability of phraseological units. It is represented by nominative phraseological units, nominative ââ¬â communicative phraseological units, phraseological units ââ¬â which are neither nominative nor communicative include interjectional word-groups and communicative phraseological units. My research i s related to the phraseological units with zoonimical component and their semantic structure.Zoonims, that are used in our language, are really meaningful, they are directed to the allegorical characteristic, probably metaphorical and stylistically emphasized. The aim of this research is to explore deeper the given phraseological units. I have set such objectives: 1) to explicate a concept of phraseological unit with zoonimical component and to reveal the regularities of their usage; 2) to analyse their semantic and structural peculiarities. The methods investigation research strategy are as followed: 1) method of the system analysis, that is a study of the subject of the investigation as a totality of elements, that create a system; 2) descriptive method, that gives the full description of phraseological units. The object of my investigation is the phraseological units with zoonimical component. The subject is the expressive means of Modern English phraseological units. These means are the morphological, syntactical, phonetic and lexical peculiarities of these phraseological units.Theoretical and practical value of the research consists in that fact, that nowadays there is a small amount of investigations about phraseological units with zoonimical component. Besides, the researches in the area of phraseology have become popular in the last decades. The results of this study are also important for the translation, as the translator should know the peculiarities of different idioms, in this case with zoonimical component. Composition of the research paper: The research consists of the introduction, two chapters, that are theoretical and practical parts, the conclusion and the bibliography.

Renewable Energy A Nuclear Reactor - 1064 Words
In April of 1986, a nuclear reactor in Chernobyl, Ukraine exploded, it left 30 dead and lasting radioactive effects in parts of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. There have been longstanding effects of this disaster, such as thyroid cancer in children, radiation sickness, and environmental consequences. (WNA) In the pursuit of energy, humankind has sabotaged ecosystems, the ozone layer, and caused complications to our own health. Whether it be drilling, mining, or nuclear energy. Renewable resources seem to be the only alternative to the harsh consequences of conventional fossil fuel extraction. Solar power in particular has proven to be the most effective alternative energy supplier. Thereââ¬â¢s been extensive growth in the efficiency of solar energy, and prices have significantly decreased so it is possible for businesses and families to switch to a cleaner, and more efficient power source. Temple Of The Olympian Zeus And Flavian Amphitheater
Emily Nick Art 2080: Exam 2 Dr. Nancy Palm September 21, 2017 Cossutius, Temple of the Olympian Zeus and Flavian Amphitheater Architecture is the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and physical structures. Architectural work is often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Ancient Greek architecture is distinguished by its highly formalized characteristics, both of structure and decoration. Ancient Roman architecture adopted the external language of classical Greek architecture for the purposes of the ancient Romans, but differed from Greek buildings, becoming a new architectural style. The Corinthian Temple of Olympian Zeus, located in the lower city of Athens was designed by theâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦This Aphrodite was one of the first statues by a well-known Greek sculptor to depict a fully nude woman. The acceptance of nudity in statues of can be connected to the merging of Greek concepts of goddesses. Explaining The Global Carbon Budget Samples â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about the Explaining The Global Carbon Budget. Answer: Technology has made us Gods, even before we deserve to call ourselves human beings. The above quoted lines of Woody Allen clearly indicate the way technology has affected the lives of the human beings. It is true that technology has greatly improved the quality of our lives but at the same time it has contributed much to the problems which the world is facing at the present moment. One of the major problems which the world is facing at the moment because of the technological advancement is the problem of carbon dioxide emission and its impact on the climate of the world (Douglass 2018). According to Elizabeth Douglass, Once the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere tops 3.2 trillion metric tons, chances dim to avoid climate disaster, according to new calculations (Douglass 2018). Carbon budget can be defined as the maximum amount of greenhouses gases that can be released into the atmosphere without causing a significant amount of damage to the world climate (Le Qur et al. 2016). However, over the years this carbon budget of the world is fast depleting and if any drastic measures are not taken then the budget is likely to get exhausted with the next few decades. According to Elizabeth Douglass, the total carbon budget spent since the 1870s till present is around 2 trillion metric tons (Douglass 2018). The remaining amount of carbon budget left is only 1.2 trillion metric tons (Douglass 2018). Therefore, with the view to reduce the amount of fast rate of the depletion of the carbon budget of the world, the major powers of the world like USA. UK and others along with organizations like United Nations have signed significant treaties in a bid to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emission and its subsequent damage on the environment and climate (Douglass 2018). China has given hope in this particular sphere with its bio-energy with carbon capture and storage (Douglass 2018). Therefore, from the above discussion it becomes clear that the major problem which the world is facing at the moment is the fast depletion of the carbon budget. The depletion of this particular budget will not only raise the global temperature significantly but will also cause other related problems. Therefore, drastic steps need to be taken in order to counter this problem. References Douglass, E. 2018.Climate Primer: Explaining the Global Carbon Budget and Why it matters.
